The 1847 Greek Revival home built by Charles Teubner, which is also pictured above, is the centerpiece of Hermann Farm.
Our in-depth tours are led by docents like Susan Nichols, whose family was among the first German settlers to arrive in Hermann in the 1830s.
Our mules, Pat and Jane, have lived their entire lives here on the farm.
The first stop for all of our guests is the Visitor's Center, where you can purchase tickets for a tour and peruse our wide selection of artisan wares, books and Hermann Farm merchandise.
No visit to Hermann Farm is complete without meeting our majestic Shire horses.
In the First Settlement Village, visitors explore the 1790s Trading Post and Schüetzenhalle.
Our traditional kitchen garden is located in the First Settlement Village and demonstrates the types of vegetables and herbs a 19th century household would have cultivated.
The cider house (left) and the press house (right) are where apples from the farm's orchards and grapes from the vineyards were processed and turned into cider and wine.
The Teubner-Husmann home has been fully restored and decorated with period antiques, most of which are from the Hermann area.
Our tours include stops at the various farm outbuildings, giving visitors a glimpse into what daily life was like in Missouri in the 19th century.
Our docents bring everyday items alive through anecdotes about the families who lived here on the farm and general history of what life was like during the 19th century.
The Rashe homestead, which is on the back part of Herman Farm, offers visitors a peek at 19th century farm life.
The Rasches distilled spirits and water on the farm; visitors are able to see the original still house, the small brick building on the right.
