Job Responsibilities

• Provide visitors with a positive tour experience

• Operate gift shop register and restock inventory as needed

• Assist with special events

• Maintain (clean) gift shop and public restrooms as needed

• Maintain (clean) tour route prior to and during tours

• Wipe down stall bars, polish wagon and display harness

• Sweep and operate power vacuum

• Pose Shire for guest photo opportunities

• 25 hours per week/min 3 shifts per week

• Operate truck/trailer and assist with set up of portable stalls/display

• Perform public relations/interact with public & media

• Assist in performing all aspects of showing the horses

Job Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old

• Ability to memorize a detailed 10-15 page tour script

• Must be dependable, enthusiastic, cheerful and professional

• Must have a demonstrated interest in the Shires and a willingness to learn in-depth history of the breed and organization

• Must be able to work flexible hours throughout the tour season (March – December) including weekends, holidays and evenings as required

• Must have strong leadership and customer service skills

• Basic horse handling skills preferred but not required
